breath & decay
SØMA | TATTOO & VISUAL ARTS
I’m a Mexican artist currently in Lyon, France.
My art exists in the space between breath and decay, where emotion becomes form and ink becomes flesh.
Rooted in abstraction and driven by a raw dialogue between nature’s textures and the inner void, my work explores the liminal space between life and death.
I use ink not only on paper but also as a ritualistic imprint on skin, transforming paintings into living totems.
Inspired by the organic movement of roots, veins, and celestial decay, each piece channels existential themes—fear, anxiety, meaninglessness, and the quiet persistence of eternity—into stark, graceful lines that echo both the body and the abyss.
